Job Description

An Automotive Parts Advisor serves as the key liaison between customers, service technicians, and the parts department. This role involves identifying, sourcing, and supplying the correct automotive parts and accessories for repairs, maintenance, or upgrades. The advisor ensures smooth operations by managing inventory, processing orders, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their vehicles.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely availability of required parts.
  • Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries regarding parts and accessories.
  • Check inventory levels and order parts when necessary.
  • Receive, unpack, and store incoming parts shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock systems.
  • Process payments, returns, and warranty claims.
  • Provide price quotes and negotiate pricing when applicable.
  • Recommend companion products and upsell when appropriate.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in automotive parts or service preferred.
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
  • Familiarity with parts catalogues and inventory management systems.
